Love this bar! Everyone is friendly and has great service. Highly recommend going here at least to check out if you are near by. The food is good and the beers are cold. 21+ Only.
Great service for drinks and they make pizza there! We played pool and would have played music but it's about 50 cents a song or 12 for $5. I thought it was a bit pricey because we were going to stay longer than 12 songs so we opted out. They have plenty of parking in front and side of building. They also have great merch options, my favorite being the hoodies.
Great place to hang out! were from San Diego and we try stop by whenever we get a chance. Michelle is an awesome bartender and a great host. Everyone we have met this far has been super friendly. As well as the owner!

The Lazy Lizard bar in ocotillo is a local institution. I've been coming out here for over 20 years and the bar, with the original owners, were running it well before I came out. Some people might call it your classic "dive bar." They have a decent selection of beers on tap and a good selection of bottle beers as well. Last I recall, they were also serving a low alcohol "margarita." In terms of food, it's pretty basic with pizza and nachos. Unless, you happen to get lucky and Rose is serving her famous burritos. There are a couple of pool tables and a couple of electronic dart games. Apparently, the Lazy lizard is part of a dart playing league. The place is kept clean, including the bathrooms. It's in California, so it's no smoking. However, they do have a outdoor patio. When my nephew used to come visit me, the first place he always wanted to go was "the Lazy Lizard." You can also pick up Lizard hat or a T-shirt, if you'd like. The Lizard seems to either be quiet or full. You may walk in there and there might be one or two people there. Or, on a weekend during desert season, you might see 10 cars parked outside. Just don't be intimidated because it seems dark when you enter. That helps keeps it cool during the hot season. Ocotillo has people that live here full-time and part-timers, like myself. I've always felt welcomed there. So, if you need a cold one and you happen to be in the S-2 (which takes you into Anza Borrego state park), take some time and drop in to the Lazy Lizard
A very fun little bar in Ocotillo. The epitome of a dive bar, what else can you ask for?! Perfect spot to stop on a motorcycle ride. Great staff and super friendly.

This place is a desert gem. Ive always noticed this place while driving though and we finally decided to stop in while visiting nearby Jacumba. As soon as we walked in, everyone stopped and starred. This is definitely a locals only type of place. We must have stuck out like a sore thumb city slickers. They only serve bottled beer here which is fine by me as long as they keep the cold ones flowing. Pop back some IPA's, check out their cool lizard merch and relax after a day in the hot sun.
